Programme Cost Controller
Description
We are currently recruiting a Programme Cost Controller to join our client focused team based in Weybridge. This is an exciting opportunity for a high calibre individual to join and support our Cost Management team in the delivery of services on an important long-term account for RLB in the science and sector
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong liaison with 'Client' Finance and RLB cost management team.
- Analysis of Client General Ledger vs. RLB reports including provision of evidenced conclusions.
- Preparation of financial reporting / gap / overlap analyses including proposing and agreeing solutions to achieve alignment between data sets.
- Maintenance and update of monthly financial status sheet for RLB team to review.
- Maintenance and update of consultant invoice trackers.
- Review of cost reports (prepared by others) and reconciliation of final accounts with Finance records.
- Identification and sourcing of invoices and supporting documentation using Client’s finance system.
- Preparation of paid invoice tracker.
- Collation and tracking of live / rolling financial document packs for each project including upload onto 'Client' and RLB systems to provide audit trail.
- Review of and response to ad hoc requests from 'Client' Finance / RLB team for financial information.
- Understanding of accruals.
- Review of project financial records.
- Analysis and reporting of financial data across the business continuity portfolio.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will be someone who has previously worked in an accountancy / finance / project support role and has a good understanding of accounting processes and financial reporting within a project or programme environment.
High proficiency with Excel

- Financial background / good understanding of accounting processes
- Computer literate
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
